We are missing our students and the horses are missing their carrots. Because of the WA State "Safe Start" guidelines, we must practice certain accomodations. We look forward to seeing you at Horse Camp, or in riding lessons or on trail rides this summer when we offer our regular riding programs. Sign up now for camp at camphorsecountry.com! Call (360) 691-7509 for a gift certificate to lease a horse, reserve a riding lesson or trail ride or pony ride and save those carrots for your horsy friends.
Trail Lessons for Our Students
Are you a Horse Country Farm student? Have you mastered "independent riding" in the indoor arena and outdoor corrals?
Then, it's time to try a trail lesson. Horseback Riding - YAHOO!
You, a good horse, sky, trees, grass - life is great - got carrots?
Learn to ride like the old-time cowboys or cowgirls.
We focus on safety, fun, balance and horsemanship in OUR Trail Lessons, WHICH ARE HALF OF YOUR TOTAL TRAIL RIDE TIME, (30 to 45 minutes), before we head for the trails on our 113 acre ranch FOR THE BALANCE OF THE RIDING TIME. We'll wind through the forest, along the Pilchuck River and return to the corrals.
The easy pace of our trail rides makes them perfect for our new "young and young at heart" novice riders, beginners, 7 years and up.
There needs to be a place for beginners to enjoy horses and we're that place.
Under 7? Enjoy a pony ride or lesson in the arena.
*We are happy to refer experienced riders to our friends in the horsy business that offer more suitable trail rides for more advanced equestrians. Due to the economy, we've literally downsized to smaller horses and for their continued good health, we respect our weight limit of 150-160 pounds. Again, we're happy to refer adult riders to stables with suitable horses for them.
